Discover your scrap style

That's the online class I'm taking right now over at Noel Mignon given by the fabulous Virginia :) Great class!! And I'm always of the thinking that you can never know too much about scrapbooking...there's always something new to learn!

So anyways, we had to make a design workbook out of a manilla folder and I thought I'd share mine. If you checked my blog earlier today, you'll notice that I've changed my design workbook. I decided I didn't like the first one I came up with so I redid it. Yes I did. It was bugging me!

So here's the revised version:

I'm off to go swimming with the kiddos!

By the way, please pray for Parker & Noah. Parker is very sick right now and little baby Noah is having eye surgery today.

Pages Class today

We had another great (and productive!) class today!! For those of you that didn't come to my pages class today, this time we did 5 double page layouts instead of 10 single pages. I think we finished in record time, too! As promised, here are my layouts from class to give you some inspiration in finishing your pages! (and excuse the lighting...by the time I got outside to take pics it was already dusk!)

I think this next one was one of the favorites. You guys always ask me where I get inspiration for all of my layouts. Sometimes I just have an idea for something, sometimes I look at sketch websites like pagemaps, and other time I see someone's idea and scraplift it like this one! I got the "idea" for this one from here. I just *loved* her layout and knew I wanted to recreate it!

That's it guys!! Have fun putting your photos on your layouts!!!

fun stuff from today...

Today was a fun but very relaxed day. We spent the day at a friend's neighborhood pool. The girls had countless rounds of jumping into the pool!

Ben was happy to just swim around in his floatie!

On another note, here's a sneaky peaky of my summer chipboard album for my class on July 12th. This is a super easy book so anyone can take the class. It's designed to just be a fun little book to hold your summer photos. I think I'm only going to have room for 8 people in this class (because of supplies) so if you want to make this one be sure and sign up! There won't be anymore of these cute papers left at the Shoppe!!!

I have a few layouts that I'll share in a separate post. I'm off to get ready for our neighborhood yard sale tomorrow. I just hope that the 90+ degree weather holds off til after lunch!!!

And I just got back from the Shoppe where I bought some new Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine {big grin} and Making Memories Noteworthy papers {another big grin} so I'll be playing with those later, too!! Cheryl got lots of other neat papers in today so be sure and swing by!!! She has a crop tonight and you know what happens when there's new stuff on a crop night.....bye bye!!

Chat later everyone :)

School challenge & a layout

The Croppin' Chics are having a school challenge the next 2 weeks. I've already listed a 2pg layout and this is the chipboard tag book that I just finished today that will be listed tonight. I haven't been listing a whole lot of stuff on ebay this year so I guess I'd better get moving if that Disney fund is ever going to grow :)

I know I haven't been posting many layouts lately. It's not that I haven't done any, I've just been working on some to submit to CK and some are for my upcoming layout class next Saturday (gotta keep those a secret!). I will share one with you that we'll be making in class. Lately I've been going through some older photos. This photo of my 2 little ones just made me smile when I saw it :) They were so cute together at that age!! BTW, I'm *so* diggin' the American Crafts vinyl thickers!!! You'll see those a lot on my layouts!! Oh, and I got the idea for this layout from a Cosmo Cricket layout that's on my friend Elizabeth's blog. Thanks for the inspiration!

I just got some new goodies from QVC and Studio Calico today so hopefully I'll have some new stuff to post soon :)
