you guys are awesome! here's a yummy cookie recipe :)

I've really enjoyed seeing some new faces to my blog in the last week and reading all of your sweet comments. Seriously, you guys are awesome!!!

So here's a yummy cookie recipe for y'all!!

I've been making these cookies for years. I actually made some of these as jar cookies for gifts at my baby shower nearly 9 yrs ago. Been making 'em ever since! And I have to say that they're one of my favorites. They're super easy, super quick, and super yummy!!! And when you're having a cookie craving these will certainly hit the spot. I made these the other day and they were gone lickety split! So I, of course, had to make a 2nd batch ;) I didn't have any pecans but they're still super yummy without them.

Cowboy Cookies

Mix these ingredients in a bowl:

1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup cooking oats
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 – 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Then add in:

1 slightly beaten egg
1/2 cup butter (melted slightly in the microwave)
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix all together, with your hands if necessary. Scoop into rounded balls on baking sheet (I use one of those small scoops). Bake at 350 for 10 min.

Enjoy!!

Btw, that turquoise plate those cookies are sitting on...50 cents at the flea market a couple weeks ago :)

Hmm I think I have some chocolate chips in the fridge, I'm going to give these a whirl. I've been craving chocolate so bad this week and these sound (and look) fantastic! Thanks for the recipe.
