no big deal...right??

That's what I keep telling myself. I started my injections last night. And they're really not bad at all. It feels like a pinch really. But I haven't been able to do it myself yet. And it's driving me crazy!

Last night I had my husband do it so I'd know what to expect. You know, cause when you're pushing a needle into your belly it can be a little intimidating even if the needle isn't really that big. Of course, he had to add in 'suck it up and take the shot!" hehe You'd have to know me and my husband's relationship. We tease...a lot ;) I'm not a needles person but shots don't really bother me. And I know there's going to be a really big one starting in less than 2 weeks and I'll be on that one for up to 11 weeks. So this should be a breeze.

This morning I was all set to do it myself. And then I chickened out. And it's making me mad cause it's all mental. I know it doesn't hurt. But I know I have to learn to do it cause my husband is going out of town soon and by Friday I'll be up to 3 belly shots a day, 4 by Monday. So I have to conquer this!!

Good luck! OMG! I have never had to inject my self (knocks on wood) and I am terrified at the thought of it. You seem to have a really good handle on it though. Just mental. Good luck good luck good luck!

Good luck giving yourself the shots. I get one every 3 weeks and you would think after all these years that I could do it..nope. I have 4 friends that are nurses and I just get one of them to do it. I remember my mom (who was a nurse) gave the shots to a neighbour because her DH couldn't do it.

i know u can do it!! i had gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy and had to give myself shots in the belly throughout the whole pregnancy. i had to meet with a nurse to get all the info and how to do it. i had to give myself a shot before i could leave the hospital where the nurse was teaching me.
i know its not fun at all, but i think with lots of prayers, u will overcome and U Can DO IT!!! Good Luck!

I have a weird phobia about stitches. So, when I had a craft project gone wrong and end up with stiches, I was freaked. I was told I had to clean them at least twice a day. The first day I made my husband do it because looking at them made me woozy, but you know....I sucked it up and just did it. Once you do it the first time, then it is easy breezy from there on :) You can do it!
