Monday layouts

I had a chance to play with a couple Noel Mignon kits yesterday. You know, cause it was Mother's Day! I've been dying to play with the Playdate kit...my absolute favorite of her kits so far!

I'll share my favorite layout first :) I did this one for the 'Me, Myself and I' challenge. The challenge is already up but I thought this would be a fun excuse to scrap about how we came up with my daughter's name (since I don't really have any great story about my own name!).
I sprayed some of the Shimmerz on the white cardstock and also added some of the Pink paislee rub ons around the edges (I just cut the portions I wanted off the rub-on sheet and then applied to the cardstock).
I absolutely love that red ribbon. I really want more!! It's hard to tell in the photos but there's one of those cute stick pins in the flower.

Love that I finally got to tell the story of Olivia's name. Of how we didn't know if she was going to be a boy or a girl. And how we originally liked the name Julia and how we didn't have her middle name til about a week before she was born.

The paper in this next one just makes me smile. How can those blue and yellow flowers not make you smile?!
Slip n slide fun the day before Olivia's first communion. Olivia & Ben playing with their cousin that they hadn't seen since they were almost too little to play together. Fun stuff.

I also added some red stitching on the sides to tie more red into the layout.
Does anyone else find it funny to scrapbook about scrapbooking?? Or to scrapbook about hobbies. I think it's kind a funny. But I had to scrap about my latest hobby ~ sewing.
I cut out that cute clothesline with my Silhouette (new Elizabeth Kartchner images) and used the Jillibean Soup twine to hang my clothes on :)
Now that I've had a chance to crack into my scrapbook goodies I'm sure you'll see more this week. Happy Monday everyone :)
