getting ready

I've been spending the last few days getting ready for my open house on Sunday. I'm so excited! Oh, and by the way, do you like my candy jar? My friend Donna sent that to me. Isn't it cute??! Of course, it took 2 bags of candy to fill it so hopefully my hands aren't reaching in there too often or I might as well throw the diet right out the window!! I mean, I ate 3 pieces of my birthday cake last week and gained 2 lbs. Great...anyway, I digress...

I just got a box of new SU! goodies today so I'm going to play some more tomorrow. But here's one of the things I was working on today (and excuse the lighting, it's about 12:30am so no sunlight!) You may remember me making something similar with the Tart & Tangy stamp set. Well, when I made those I immediately thought ahead to Halloween and thought candy corn would be cute in those little spice jars.


And I was so excited to find similar jars at Hobby Lobby for $.99! So I filled one with traditional candy corn, one with pumpkins and the other one with indian candy corn. How cute! Nice and easy lemon squeezy!! (my daughter loves when I say that!!) Now, I didn't add ribbon simply because I ran out of the 1/4" grosgrain but I think they look cute without it!

I'll have a couple more pics to share tomorrow and then you'll just have to wait til after Sunday to see the rest!!
