a few CHA faves

Every time CHA rolls around I'm sitting at home on my computer secretly wishing I could be there drooling over all of the new goodies that are coming out. And boy are there some yummy yummies coming out this go around!!!

Here are some of my faves from what I've seen so far...

Of course I had to start with Jillibean Soup since they're one of my absolute favorite companies right now. I'm loving all of their new stuff but I am luh-oving the Christmas Chestnut Soup & Pasta Fagioli lines. Totally drooling... But then again, I'm drooling over all of their new goodies. Head over to their blog to check it all out. (Monster Stew is pretty darn cute, too!!)

And I spotted this fun 'Toil & Trouble' line from The Girls' Paperie. Just love it!

The Prima canvas stuff has me uber-excited...
Seriously, a canvas purse shaped album??? Be still my beating heart. I wonder if there's other colors they come in....

And check out this from May Arts...
Sooo pretty...

I'm sure there's a bunch more that I haven't seen yet (or found pics for yet). I know Jenni Bowlin is coming out with some fun stuff. And I can't wait to see what's new for October Afternoon & Lily Bee Design. Dear Lizzy has some super cute stuff, too. Head over to the Sweet Memories blog ~ they've posted a bunch of goodies from CHA!

So what are you eying from CHA???

some of my CHA faves

While I'm at the birthday bash this weekend I thought I'd do a post on some of the CHA stuff I've been drooling over. No, I'm not posting from my girl's weekend. I did this post ahead of time...I'm sure I'm too busy scrappin', talking and having fun! Plus I don't have a laptop anyway...

Have you been browsing the blogs recently to see all the new goodies coming out??? Oh, how I love so many of them...gotta start saving now NOW!!

Just saw this on Jenni Bowlin's blog. Bingo cards for Halloween! Must have them. All of them.

And then there's Pink Paislee's new Twilight and Mistletoe & Co. lines. Love.it.all.

And have you seen Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses?

American Crafts has a ton of new goodies, including new thickers. New thickers people!! Eeeeek!!

Making Memorie's Mistletoe line. Love that double-sided paper.

And Jilibean Soup, oh the cute stuff they have coming out. Ok, first off, who doesn't just love their name and the names of their products?!! Just adorable :)

And check out those cute alphas. Pssst, Virginia....have you seen those?!! They're corrugated cardboard ;)

So many choices...

I've also gotten some of the new Stampin' Up papers that I'm really excited to work with. I'm sure there's more that I'm missing. Those just happened to be the ones that popped into my head at the moment.

Well, did I get you drooling over some new scrappy goodies?!! Start saving your pennies people. I know I will!!!

where did the day go???

Do you ever have one of those days?? When you just can't seem to wake up?? You know, you try and try and try to get motivated. To do more than just sit around but it just doesn't seem to work? Man I had one of those days yesterday. I don't know if it was the hours and hours in the sun & heat the day before, or staying up late, or the slumber party in the living room that had my back in knots but boy I could not get motivated yesterday. I think we ate breakfast around noon. Oh, but it was good...chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. Mmmmm I guess food can motivate me! Then we watched tv all day til around dinner time when I finally got myself up and showered (don't judge me) to make dinner...grilled chicken and my world famous oven fries. Well, they're famous with my fam thanks to Tyler Florence. Shhhh, don't tell the kids! They love these!! I must make these almost every week cause they go so well with bbq chicken, a staple of our summer diet!

Anyway, I redeemed myself for the day with dinner and dessert which was toffee bars.

Mmmm, those were good, too! And all of those chocolate chips were sitting there melting into gooey goodness. Everyone wanted seconds which is always a good sign!

Today the FedEx guy brought me some goodies. Check it out:

I won this paper pad on the October Afternoon blog a week ago (actually, while I was in Helen on my scrappy weekend). I was so excited!!! I've been wanting to get my hands on some of that paper for a while now. Too bad I already did my vacation mini-album. But I'm sure I can figure something else to do with it ;)

I'll leave you with a layout I did about our 4th.

I was inspired by Gretchen's recent post. I knew I wanted to use the red lace cardstock and then I jumped over to her blog today and guess what she used on hers? Yep! So I pulled out some of my scraps for accents and there you have it :) Although, looking at that picture I realize my ribbon is a bit crooked, gotta go fix that!

Oh, and Jessica Sprague's photoshop class starts today so I need to go online and check out what she has for us!

some Friday eye candy

I couldn't resist this...

Jenni Bowlin's May kit. So pretty. I had to have it!

So wishing I could go here. Scrapbooking and Hawaii...what could be better??

Really wanting to get my hands on some of this yummy fabric from Heather Bailey...

not sure what I'd do with it. And it's a bit pricey. But it's so pretty that it makes me want to learn more about sewing than just the basics :)

And I so wish October Afternoon would get this out soon...

And they've teased us with it for long enough! I want me some Cherry Hill!!!

Ok, that's enough eye candy for now. Back to your lives people ;)

oh, and one final thing to all the Survivor fans out there....SO glad Coach is GONE!!! I mean, seriously, the guy's ego was taking up too much of my tv!!

the cutest scrapbook store ever

Today I went with my friend Carol to a new scrapbook store ~ Sweet Memories Scrapbooks (click on their name to go to their website). They just opened in August and I have to say this was the cutest scrapbook store I'd ever been in! Picture this ~ hot pink walls, black trim and accents, a black chandelier (yes, a chandelier in a scrapbook store!), cute little knick knacks all over the store, and the 2 nicest store owners that you could ask for!

It didn't matter that this store was not the size of Hobby Lobby because after 2 1/2 hours we were not ready to leave! We found so many new and unique scrapbook goodies that all you could hear from the 2 of us was "Oooh!!! Look at this!!", "Oooh!!! Did you see this??!!" I loved everything about this store. I tell ya, if I had a store of my own this would be how I would do it.

It was fun. We'll have to do it again! Thanks for that great idea to go Carol :)
