get ready for the sweetness!

I have a few layouts to share with you today using Noel Mignon's Truly Scrumptious kit. I am just loving the colors & patterns in this kit & I find myself smiling as I'm creating with it!

This first one is for the challenge that's over at the challenge blog...you can check it out here
My daughter loves going to daddy daughter dances. I still remember when she went to her 1st one at 3 1/2 yrs old...when she came home I heard all about the dessert table & the treats she had that night. Too funny what excites a 3 yr old, right?!
I cut out a little heart from the red burlap (don't you love that there's burlap in this kit???) and added the little Martha Stewart doily.
I also added some rub-ons & other accents to fill in the empty yellow space. I didn't feel the need to put a big title on this layout. I thought it would take away from it so I simply journaled down the side of the photo.

And here comes some more sweetness.

Are you ready??

Check out this cute little chunker...
Oh my, I can hardly stand it! That is my daughter, same girl as in the previous layout, nearly 9 yrs earlier. I loved her in this outfit...actually, I still have it. So if I have a girl in June you'll probably be seeing another layout of a chunky baby in those cute overalls in the near future ;)
This photo is from the pre-digital era and has that annoying date stamp on it so I used some Jenni Bowlin chalkboard mini-alphas to cover it up. I also added another one of those Martha Stewart doily tags (I sense a new addiction brewing...), another heart cut from the burlap along with more of the fun accents that came with the kit.

Be sure to check out the crop over at Noel Mignon that's going on all week!
Click here to head over to the message board to check it out! I'll be back tomorrow with my project for the crop!
