I just made it! It's still technically Thursday, right?? What's funny is that I had the actual 'project' for today's post done but I couldn't take pics til I cleaned up my daughter's room a bit. Her room has been destroyed with multiple projects going on, including a dresser redo that I can't wait to share next week!!! It turned out soooo cute :)
But, I can't share that til I finish up a couple little projects. In addition to her dresser I embellished a lamp and I'm working on a jewelry wall organizer and a photo holder. And, I can't find one of the drawer pulls so I may end up buying new ones which is so irritating. So, I can't very well share pics til that's all finished!
But I can share her nightstand redo. Let me show you the before & after and then I'll tell ya about it. I found this cute little table at my favorite thrift shop - Gina's:
Cute huh?? But it certainly needed some sanding and paint. And here's what it looks like now...
Big difference, isn't it?? I wanted a small table to go next to my daughter's bed but nothing that would be too big since it's right in front of the window. I really don't like furniture in front of a window.
So this table works perfect because it's partially open in the bottom. And there's a cute little shelf for some of her many stuffed animals. I know in the picture it looks greenish but the color is actually turquoise.
Olivia wants a room like Fancy Nancy...and if you have a little girl and have read the books then you know she has a cuh-raaazy room!! hehe But I'm doing my best to give her what she wants without it being too gaudy or nutso. I'll have to find the picture that she showed me and you'll understand!
Oh, and that bed, also a find at Gina's a few months back. One of my best finds at her store actually!! Very girly and just what I was looking for.
Can't wait to see the dresser! I need to go to Gina's to find a new tv/media cabinet type thing as we finally got our tv mounted on the wall.
ReplyDeleteIt's sooo cute! I love the turquiose-ish top with the white bottom. Can't wait to see the dresser! And yes, it is still technically Thursday...you made it! Hehe
ReplyDeleteJust Fabulous &
ReplyDeletethe Bed is Gorgeous to!
Michelle such a crafty gal & sweet mom :)
I love it...I am thinking my daughter needs something similiar for her room ...just because I love the stuffed animals on the lower shelf.
ReplyDeleteThat table is perfect!! I liked the teal and black look it had before, but now it fits your daughter's room perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the blue and the white...perfect for a little girl's room. I have a similar piece under my stairs waiting for a little TLC...thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! and the curve in the table matches the curve in the headboard. Great find.
ReplyDeleteWow, is this the look she wants? ha ha
