I will never forget that day

7 years ago. I was 5 months pregnant with my first child. I had gone to a dr appt that morning and on my way back to work (I think it was around 11AM) I was hearing what had happened all over the radio stations. I had no idea what exactly had happened, or the magnitude. When I heard "a plane hit the tower" I thought they meant that thing on the top of the roof (for planes). Wow, how naive was I. I had no idea they meant a 100+ story skyscraper. When I got home from work a few hours later and saw it on the news I was in shock. And riddled with fear. I was sickened that there was such evil in this world. It still sickens me.

I would suggest that everyone go out to You Tube and watch a video or 2 of those events that day. It's easy to say "oh yeah, I remember" but to actually watch it reaffirms the pure evil that did this. We all need to remember. And not get lax in our views on terrorism.

I did this page today to jot down some of my thoughts about that day and how I still feel today. I want my kids to know the gravity of what happened to us 7 years ago.

I hope that as you decide who you want for the next president of this country, that you think about their views about war and terrorism. They have very different views. For me, it's the #1 most important thing in this next election, above gas prices and the economy and all else. Not to say that nothing else matters because it does. But if we're not safe as a nation, the price of gas won't matter much.

BTW, a super BIG thank you to all those serving in the military and your families. You guys (and gals!) mean more to us than you will ever know!!!!
